A division bench of the Lahore High Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of an appeal of Hanif Abbasi for suspension of his life imprisonment and fine in ephedrine quota case. Earlier, the counsel of Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) sought time to file reply to the petition and court allowed his request accordingly. A special court for anti-narcotics in July 2018 had awarded life sentence to Hanif Abbasi and awarded him a fine of rupees one million in ephedrine quota case.
